Players go down easy, they encourage it and make the most of challenges, the real difference is that players like Ronaldo and Drogba pretend they’re injured as well and roll around on the floor for 5 minutes holding their “broken” limbs. Gerrard never does this, neither does 99% of the footballing world. Thats what p*sses people off.
the game is such these days that without throwing yourself on the ground, players are wondering if they would get the free kick. occasionally players like gerrard, rooney etc, who generally are sporting and dont dive, do go down easily. but it is the players like ronaldo, drogba and most of the old french players at arsenal that made it so common. it IS THEM that are ruining the game, making it so hard for referees and we wonder why so many dodgy penalties are given(usually to ronaldo)

Yes, the champion divers are Ronaldo and Drogba. Yet, it is astonishing that Ronaldo is given so many accolades for scoring goals by cheating.
